About ESL

English Language Learning is a ministry of Bible Fellowship Church that is designed to help people learn to understand and speak English. Our program is classroom based and we offer a language learning lab as well.

Each week teachers and students come together to study curriculum published by Oxford University Press. We offer four levels of study.: beginning, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced. Each level covers conversation, reading and grammar for new English speakers. Students who are enrolled in the classes are encouraged to sign up and use the English Learning Lab where we feature Rosetta Stone. The lab is only open to enrolled students and sign ups are only taken during class hours. Cost for the textbooks if $35. Classroom hours are free.

Our teachers are volunteers who have a heart for encouraging people who live in this country to be able to better participate in the culture by learning to speak English. Our student-teacher ratio is excellent. We are always looking for helpers who would like to commit to one day or night per week to help the teachers with the classes.

Our students have come from all over the world: Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, Guatemala, Korea, Dominican Republic and Mexico. We invite anyone who is interested in learning to speak English to come to class. In the future we are hopeful that we will be able to offer citizenship classes for those whose English proficiency has progressed to the point where they can begin to study the materials. If you know someone who needs help learning to speak English, BRING THEM TO CLASS. Join us one time, get your friend acquainted and give them a boost toward a whole new experience!
