Bible Fellowship Church has been a regular supporter of the Community Pantry for many years. March and September are set aside to make an all-out effort to collect food, but the Pantry will take your donations year round if you would like to drop them off them during the other months of the year.
The mission of the pantry is to provide emergency food and shelter to local residents who are in need. They assist families with low-incomes or fixed incomes as well as those who are unemployed or under employed.
The Community Pantry can use all sorts of dried and canned items: dried pinto beans, long grain white rice, pasta, granulated sugar, pancake mix, peanut butter, canned soup, canned chili, canned pork and beans, canned refried beans, canned tuna, prepared pasta sauces, soup mixes, boxed macaroni and cheese, dried cup-of-soups, dried cereals, oatmeal, powdered milk and canned fruits and vegetables. Fresh fruit and vegetables are also welcome when the summer harvest is at its peak.
The Pantry is located at 191 S, Columbia St, Hemet, CA 92544 (behind Trinity Lutheran Church) and is open Monday through Thursday from 9am until 11:30am. It is staffed by volunteers.
