God led Dorothy Montealegre to dedicate herself to train Mexican young people to evangelize both in Mexico and in other parts of the world. After the death of her husband and raising twelve children, she spent time in the state of San Luis Potosi where she worked in cooperation with Bethany Missions. Then God led her to Matamoros near the U.S. border where she teaches and helps out at a cross-cultural mission training center operated by Adventures In Missions.
Dorothy teaches Bible subjects and English as a second language. She considers it a wonderful opportunity and challenge to have a part in focusing both individuals and Mexican churches on their responsibility to reach the world with the Gospel. Every stage in Dorothy's life has been profitable, and God has given her the grace to learn to appreciate everything He has asked her to do; but she considers each stage of her life as being very special. Most recently, Dorothy has had some health issues, but that has not stopped her from teaching her classes by Skype and translating materials from her home in Texas where she is currently living with one of her sons. She is a marvelous testimony to all that no matter what your age, God will use you if you are willing!
