What We Believe

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Bible Fellowship Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

the bible

We Believe the entire Bible is inspired by God without error and is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

God

We Believe in the one true God, who eternally exists, and has expressed Himself in three distinct and co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God the father

We Believe God the Father reigns over all creation with providential care, and is in control of every aspect of human life, working all things out for the good of those who love Him.

god the son

We Believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who is co-equal with God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus died on the cross, as a sacrifice for our sins, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

god the holy spirit

We Believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal to God, and was sent by God the Father to glorify God the Son, convict men of sin, and regenerate the believing sinner.

mankind

We Believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, and is, therefore, completely and totally lost. Because we have been marred by sin, we naturally live with an attitude of disobedience towards God.

salvation

We Believe that salvation is offered freely to all men, who in faith turn to Jesus, and repent from their sins. There is no salvation apart from faith in Jesus. Once a believer has placed their trust in Jesus Christ, they will persevere until the end.

eternal life

We Believe that every person who puts their faith in Jesus is assured of eternal life with God.

the church

We Believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ and repentance towards God, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.

the church

We Believe that God has ordained marriage to be a lifetime commitment exclusively between a man and a woman (Gen. 2:18-25). Sexual relations are to be exercised solely within the marriage. Any sexual activities that are inconsistent with the teaching of the Bible are to be rebuked and repented of.
