Ephesians 4:17–24 — Out With the Old, In With the New

Paul calls believers to leave behind their old way of life and live differently because they now belong to Christ. Instead of the empty thinking and hardened hearts that once shaped them, followers of Jesus are to put off the old self and put on the new self, created to be like God in righteousness and holiness.

This new life shows up in everyday actions—speaking truth instead of lies, dealing with anger without sin, working honestly, using words that build others up, and choosing kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. In short, God’s way of living reflects a transformed heart that seeks to honor Christ and bless others.
